The Boys' Brigade is the world's pioneer uniformed youth organization. It was founded on 4 October 1883 in Glasgow, Scotland by Sir William Alexandra Smith. From the 1st Glasglow Company, BB very quickly spread across Britain and then throughout the world

In Singapore, the BB was established in January 1930 by Mr. JM Fraser with the assistance of a few Boys from the defunct Swatow Battalion, who fled to Singapore to avoid communist persecution in China. Today there are more than 6000 Officers and Boys in over 90 BB Companies.

The BB is recognized for its strength in the character development of Boys. It continues to be as relevant today in Singapore as it was 120 years ago in Glasgow.

The aim of the BB Singapore is the all-rounded development of Boys covering the following aspects: Spiritual, Physical, Enrichment and Social.
